Get ready for “ANNHILATION”, which releases this Friday. From the makers of “Ex-Machina”, the Director takes it up a notch by mixing up a concoction of “The Arrival” meets “Aliens” in this Sci-Fi film, that will freak the crap out of you.
Natalie Portman plays an Army Biologist/Professor who hasn’t seen her husband for over a year now, who suddenly comes back from an undercover covert operation by the military. Things do not appear normal, or what they seem. At the same time a strange thing has hit a lighthouse at the coast in U.S., which is creating a barrier in the form of shimmering rainbow type of cloud.
The military seeks her and four other ladies assistance to decode this classified situation. The film was above my expectations, and keeps you at the edge of your seat.
There is moral of the story as well. There are 3 roads in life, where one must choose. First either you fight your fears, or be content and not bother about it, or face your fears.
For this film I do hope there is a sequel. Go for the thrill. The film gets a 3 and a half star recommendation. Enjoy!! Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
