BERVANN Capital Investments Convention Facilitates Investment Partnerships

New York City Investments & Partnerships Meetings Feature and Celebrate Global Collaborations

New York, N.Y.BERVANN Capital held its inaugural investments convention New York City I&P Investments & Partnerships Meetings on December 4–7, 2018, as an opportunity for investors and select CEOs, entrepreneurs, organization leaders, and government representatives to connect on a more personal level and build investment partnerships. The meetings were held at the glamorous One World Trade Center under the patronage of the Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Saeed Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan of The Royal Family of Abu Dhabi. The event embraced and celebrated the attendees’ cultures in honor of BERVANN’s BERVANN Foundation and its mission.

Additional daytime gatherings included breakfast and lunch roundtables for small groups of investors and corporate executives to discuss global economy related topics, challenges of capital deployment and manager selection, cross-market investments, and strategic alliances. Tuesday through Thursday evenings wrapped up with a special dinner event: a welcome dinner at Porter Steakhouse in Manhattan, the Blockchain Roundtable + Networking Cocktail hosted by the law firm Perkins Coie LLP, and a red-carpet networking cocktail and gala.

The Thursday evening gala was held at Central Park JW Marriott Essex House and featured a variety of cultural performances by the global arts nonprofit: World Heritage Cultural Center (mywhcc.org). WHCC was named the “Cultural Organization of New York” by the stewardship report of the Huffington Post.

At the gala, the managing partner of BERVANN Capital, Tariq Hussain, announced the launch of the BERVANN Foundation (bervannfoundation.org). The certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit  is a grant-making organization that empowers local grassroots groups working in education, agriculture, health, and youth development in underprivileged communities around the world. The organization strives to help eradicate poverty through practical care.

Friday morning concluded the convention with a brilliant women’s breakfast, showcasing women investors, entrepreneurs, and corporate personnel who engaged in constructive discussions on women’s empowerment, gender equality, and women in business.

By facilitating connections, this event allows busy leaders and investors to make the most of their time and build relationships that lead to action, which isn’t always easy at a typical investment event. Heads of businesses, as well as investors, want to work toward collaboration and focus on their return on investment. With the right environment, people in business can begin their transactions at the actual event because participants get to know each other to start these pragmatic conversations.

BERVANN Capital’s Investments & Partnerships Meetings give investors the opportunity to sit down with pre-screened CEO’s of companies and get to know what is at the heart of their business and how it can impact people. These meetings allow entrepreneurs, government representatives, and corporate executives to meet with verified investors at private 1-on-1 consultations to present their offerings and conduct focused discussions on potential investments. Participants then know each other on a personal level, investors align themselves with others on co-investment models, and capital seekers get to build new partnerships with other companies.

His Excellency Mr. Zulfiquar Ghadiyali, CEO of the Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Saeed Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, represented his highness at the convention. Some of the investors and CEOs who attended include Ms. Rose Shoen, director and investment cmmittee member of JPS Single Family Office; Mr. Kamil Homsi, CEO of GRC Investments Group and Global Realty Capital; Mr. Frank Villarreal, vice president of US CAPITAL GLOBAL, a San Francisco-based investment bank; Ms. Priya Oberoi, managing partner of OBEROI Capital Partners; Mr. Larry Smith, CIO of Horton Point, former global CIO and US CEO of Credit Suisse Asset Management, former global head of asset allocation of JP Morgan Investment Management; and Mr. Tariq Hussain, managing partner of BERVANN CAPITAL.
