FIRST MAN “…One small step for man…One giant leap for mankind..” – That is what astronaut Neil Armstrong said when he landed on the moon in July, 1968. Played by Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong, the film, “FIRST MAN” take you down this biopic from 1961-1968 in a chronological matter. It shows the personal side of his struggles, the loss of his comrades, his family life, his loss of his baby girl, his defiance to be resilient in what he wanted to achieve for NASA as an astronaut.

The film in IMAX toward the end is breathtaking when you see them land on the moon. What he did on the moon is poetic, yet I wish Ryan Gosling, who is a very talented actor could have injected more emotions in his performance. The restrained performance did bring it down a few notches for me personally. The film gets a 2 and half star recommendation. Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
