National award-winning music composer Devi Sri Prasad, also known as Rockstar DSP, recently delighted fans with an exclusive video tour of his music studio. In the video, DSP shared how he transformed his late father’s writing room into a vibrant studio space. The entrance is adorned with a life-size picture of the legendary music maestro Ilaiyaraaja, while inside, portraits of his father and his Mandolin guru, the veteran U Srinivas, grace the walls.
DSP reminisced about the studio’s rich history, mentioning, “All the amazing geniuses like Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry sir, Veturi Sundararama Murthy sir, big directors, Chiranjeevi sir, Allu Arjun, and others used to come and have sittings here. So, this place has an aura of all the legends.”
In the video, DSP pointed out a custom-made recliner chair that belonged to his father, which has now become his preferred spot for reviewing his compositions. He explained, “When I sing in the studio, I feel like both my Guru and my father are looking at me. I get courage and blessings from them, and also at the same time, there’s an unknown responsibility and fear to do my best.”
The composer also discussed how he channels his emotions into his music. He revealed that positive emotions often lead to the creation of upbeat and dance tracks. Fans were treated to a performance of “Pushpa Pushpa” from the highly anticipated “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” set to release this year. Notably, this song continues to trend on social media, alongside other hits like “The Couple Song” from the Allu Arjun-starrer, which has also topped the charts.
Looking ahead, DSP is excited about his upcoming India Tour, announced earlier this year, and has multiple projects as a composer lined up for release.
