PAAGALPANTI – Don’t ask me why I do this to myself, but I went to see – “PAAGALPANTI”, despite the not so good reviews already, but I went for the fact that it had a big star cast, that featured, Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda, Ileana D’ Cruz, Urvashi Rautela, and Saurabh Shulka. Most of them did put their right foot forward in trying their best to deliver the goods of this “Madness”, on the silver screen. But sad to say they all fail due to Aneez Bazmee’s poor execution in direction and screenplay this time. Up to first half there are some funny scenes, but then towards the second half the film runs out of steam, story, and script.

It looks as if just odd gags were created right on the spot, with no reason. A film maker like Aneez Bazmee, who has made crazy humor look good in films like, “Welcome 1 & 2″, Ready”. Singh is Kinng”, and “No Entry”, should be accountable for this poor film. It looked like as if he has left his brain behind with this film.

Basically it is about a con guy named Niraj Modi, who swindles India as a country out of Billions, and a guy named Raj Kishore, played by John Abraham, who is a simpleton, is blamed for loosing his job at the bank, including his boss, and the whole company due to that. He has 2 friends, played by Arshad & Pulkit, who are also down on their luck, then later join him to start some business, but everything backfires. He even brings bad luck to his girlfriend as well. Things change when he and the gang get to work for a gangster family, played by Anil Kapoor as “Wi-fi”, and his brother-in-law, played by Saurabh Shukla. They are there to be like human shields, in terms of testing their food, and riding their vehicles, because they are always being targeted to be murdered by their enemies. But even here they are bad luck and loose their investments that were given to hide by this Modi guy. Too much to digest, and too much to handle.

Songs are just thrown in at any given time, with Lions that come out of a van in the climax as well for no reason. I have said too much as well on this film for no reason, It just like this film called – “PAAGALPANTI”, that makes you completely mad, because there is no reason. The film gets only 1 and a half stars. Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
