I worked hard for 15 years to get rid of the tag of a ‘star son’ : Ranbir Kapoor on belonging to a film family
Ranbir Kapoor who has recently made his come back on screens after 4 years with his film Shamshera got in an exclusive conversation with Awesome TV and spilled some beans on his film Shamshera, belonging to a family successful in Bollywood and a lot more.
Ranbir Kapoor’s much awaited film Shahsmhera has hit the big screens. The actor is seen portraying a double role in the film. While the film is failing to impress the audience, Ranbir got in an exclusive chat with Awesome TV and spilled some beans on Success and failure, belonging to a successful film family and a lot more.
When we asked Ranbir if the thought of failure or success of his film scared him and the actor said, “Success and failure does not depend on what you can do. All you can do is work hard and give it your all, give it your best. Rest everything you have to leave to the audience and god.”
When questioned about his opinion and belief on luck and hard work. He replied saying, “When luck is considered I don’t think coming from a family makes you lucky. Yes, you get opportunities because you come from a privileged category so you get opportunities very early in your life but I know how hard I have worked in the last 15 years to get rid of the tag of a ‘star son.’ It is because I did not want to be the shadow and I had a very large shadow for a lot of members of my family so it was very important for me to do the kind of things we were talking about to create my own identity. So yes, luck and hardwork are very important. Yes, luck did come from my family, luck would have come from the good karma of my parents may be but not because I come from a certain family.
Talking to Awesome TV the Shamshera actor further adds, “It is an individual’s luck and I have been very lucky because I started out my career at a certain time when lot of new filmmakers were writing new films for young boys before me there were men, you know when Hritik Roshan was being a man but when I started working, you know Imran khan and I we started at the same time there were lot of scripts. that there were stories to tell of young boys and i think i feel lucky I worked with good filmmakers playing good characters and that kind of sailed me through so i was lucky in that aspect but i worked hard in those films also so luck and hard work go together.”
Currently Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for his yet another much awaited film of the year Brahmāstra. Awesome TV hopes Brahmāstra can stand by the expectations of the audience and Ranbir Kapoor gets his due.
