Shah Rukh Khan’s Iconic Serial ‘Fauji’ Returns to Doordarshan as ‘Fauji 2’ Begins Filming

As a nostalgic trip down memory lane, Doordarshan has announced that Shah Rukh Khan’s famous 1989 series Fauji will be shown again starting today. Fans can watch the show that made Shah Rukh Khan famous all over again because it will air 13 episodes every Monday through Thursday on DD National. This re-airing of an old favourite is a buildup to the much-anticipated modern sequel to the beloved show Fauji 2, which has started shooting in Pune.

There is a lot of energy around Fauji 2, and fans can’t wait for this new take on the famous story. There are a lot of posts on social media from Shah Rukh Khan fans who are excited that the show is coming back with a new twist for today’s viewers.

In Fauji 2, Gauahar Khan plays Lieutenant Colonel Simarjeet Kaur. She was excited to say, “It’s the first time I’ve agreed to a project without hearing the script.” I said yes right away when Sandeep asked me because I love Shah Rukh Khan so much. Being a part of the Fauji world feels like a dream.

The Director General of Doordarshan, Kanchan Prasad, talked about the revival. She said, “Fauji is a timeless classic that continues to resonate with audiences.” As we wait for Fauji 2, watching the original series is a great way to remember where this famous show came from and honor its history before the next part begins.

Sandeep Singh will produce and creatively direct Fauji 2. It will have a new cast, including Vicky Jain and Gauahar Khan, and will be set in the present day. The sequel, which has a story by Vishal Chaturvedi and dialogue by Anil Choudhary and Chaitanya Tulsyan, looks like it will be a good mix of the original and newer viewers’ tastes.

There will be multiple languages versions of the show on DD National, along with its return in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Bengali.
