Siddharth P. Malhotra enjoys widespread acclaim for his latest directorial venture, ‘Maharaj.’ Released on a major OTT platform, the film has been a significant success, garnering praise from both critics and audiences. Celebrating this achievement, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan recently hosted an intimate party, bringing together key members of the ‘Maharaj’ team, including debutant Junaid Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Shalini Pandey.
‘Maharaj’ features Junaid Khan, who plays the lead role of Karsandas Mulji, earning accolades for his impressive performance. Jaideep Ahlawat’s portrayal of Jadunath Maharaj has also received immense praise. Director Siddharth P. Malhotra lauded Junaid’s performance, noting, “Junaid truly embodies the saying, ‘A fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree.’ His work ethic and acting prowess clearly reflect the influence of his father [Aamir Khan].” Malhotra also revealed that the late Irrfan Khan was initially considered for Jaideep’s role.
In its debut week, ‘Maharaj’ has topped the top 10 charts in India and secured the number one spot in 22 other countries. This film marks Malhotra’s triumphant return to directing after his previous blockbuster, ‘Hichki.’
