Mrinal Dutt
Mrinal Dutt, who has impressed the audience with his performances in “Hiss Story,” “Cold Lassi Chicken Masala” and “Lonely Prince” among others, is all set to portray a historical character in his next film. He will be seen as Madan Lal Dhingra, the first Indian martyr on British soil, in the biopic of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, popularly known as Veer Savarkar. The film, titled “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,” stars Randeep Hooda as the lead role of the freedom fighter and reformer who coined the term Hindutva. The film is directed by Randeep Hooda himself and written by Utkarsh Naithani. It is slated to release on March 22, 2024. Mrinal Dutt expressed his excitement about playing Madan Lal Dhingra, who assassinated Curzon Wyllie, a British official, in London in 1909.
