In a pioneering move to make cinema accessible to all, Gadar 2 will be screened with Indian Sign Language (ISL) interpretation, ensuring Deaf audiences can enjoy this cinematic masterpiece. Zee Studios, in collaboration with India Signing Hands (ISH News), will screen the film at select PVR cinemas nationwide, providing an immersive experience for differently-abled viewers. ISH News, founded by Alok Kejriwal in Mumbai, approached Zee Studios with this initiative, and the studio eagerly joined forces.
Set during the third Indo-Pakistan war of 1971, Gadar 2 follows Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) as he braves immense challenges to rescue his son, Charanjeet (Utkarsh Sharma), from across the border. Umesh Kr Bansal, CBO of Zee Studios, remarked, “Gadar 2 resonates with the core of every Indian. We are thrilled to re-release it for a meaningful cause. Making cinema accessible is a priority, and we are proud to partner with India Signing Hands.”
Sunny Deol, reprising his iconic role as Tara Singh, shared, “Gadar 2 holds a special place in my heart. Seeing the continued love from audiences a year later is overwhelming. This ISL interpretation re-release will allow even more viewers to connect with the film.”
