Superstar Dhanush, who avoids film promotions, is making an exception—of a film he strongly believes in.

“You Don’t Usually See Me Out Here”

Dhanush recently broke down his unusual public appearance at the Kuberaa event.

“You don’t usually see me at promotions. But this film truly deserves it. It’s very special.”

The teaser promises an emotional, raw character journey. Although Dhanush didn’t say much, he confirmed the noticeable emotional depth in the trailer.

“You can feel what my character is going through. It’s painful and raw.”

Working with Sekhar Kammula: “He Made Life Easy”

The actor appreciated director Sekhar Kammula for his direction and level-headedness.

“He taught me everything—how to speak, act, even the slang. He made life so easy.”

Dhanush described the character as “very different” from everything he’s ever done.

“I enjoyed the challenge. Sekhar sir is a white-hearted angel from heaven.”

A Strong Production Team

Kuberaa is produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd.

Co-producers Vipul Agarwal and Manish Vasisth, as well as Mugafi (presenter and distributor of North India), are supporting the film’s countrywide release.

Released on June 20 in 5 Languages

The movie stars Nagarjuna, Dhanush, and Rashmika Mandanna in major roles.

With music by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP), Kuberaa will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam on June 20, 2025.
Dhanush’s extreme paucity of releases indicates that Kuberaa may be one of the year’s strongest pan-India stories.
