Inspired by ‘Khakee,’ the actor Karan Tacker gives a heartfelt thanks to India’s police force
This Independence Day, Karan Tacker took a moment to appreciate a different kind of hero – the Indian police force.
You probably know Karan from his role as that tough, no-nonsense cop in Khakee: The Bihar Chapter. Turns out, his respect for the people of all genders in uniform goes way beyond just playing a character.
More Than Just a Role
While filming Khakee, Karan actually got to know Amit Lodha, the real-life police officer whose story inspired the whole series! Spending months bringing Lodha’s experiences to life gave Karan a real peek into the dedication and hard work these officers put in.
“Playing a cop wasn’t just a job; it really opened my eyes,” Karan shared. “I saw firsthand the incredible effort it takes to keep people safe, especially when things get crazy.”
An Independence Day Message That Matters
Karan took to social media to share a special message:
“We always remember the freedom fighters on Independence Day, and we should. But let’s also celebrate the people who protect that freedom every single day. Being in Khakee showed me the strength and humanity of the police. They’re the ones standing strong during floods, riots, all kinds of crises, so we can live our lives without fear. Today, I want to give them a huge salute!”
Freedom: A Daily Effort
Karan’s message is a great reminder that independence isn’t just something we won in the past. It’s something that’s protected and fought for every single day by the people who wear the uniform.
