It’s that time of year again! Mumbai is buzzing with excitement, faith, and pure festive vibes as we celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. We caught up with Sun Neo stars Megha Ray and Akash Jagga to hear about their personal traditions and how they celebrate with their families.
Pandal Hopping with Megha Ray
Megha Ray, who you know as Divya from Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani, is a true Mumbai girl. For her, Ganesh Chaturthi is all about soaking in the city’s energy.
“We don’t have an idol at home,” Megha explained, “but we always offer our prayers at the temple and do aarti together. What I really love is visiting the pandals with my friends. There’s something magical about wandering the streets at night, especially when it’s drizzling!”
She’s hoping her shooting schedule for the show will allow her a day off to keep her pandal-hopping tradition alive this year. Fingers crossed!
Family Time for Akash Jagga
Akash Jagga, who plays Kundan in Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani, celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi with his family, making it a truly special occasion.
“My parents make the trip from Jaipur every year to celebrate with me in Mumbai,” Akash shared. “We have Bappa at home for a day and a half and dedicate ourselves to seva with complete devotion. I even took two days off from shooting so I could spend quality time with them. Celebrating with family just brings so much peace and positivity.”
