Hey everyone! The first-ever Waterfront Indie Film Festival (WIFF 2025) just wrapped up today, October 4th, and it’s safe to say it was a huge success! Starting on Thursday, October 2nd, the festival was all about celebrating the best in independent cinema. Think awesome screenings, insightful masterclasses, and some seriously engaging panel discussions.
One of the coolest things about WIFF 2025 was how it became a platform for fresh, new voices in film. Kabeer Khurana, the curator of the short film showcase, put it perfectly: “WIFF is a platform for emerging talent to connect with industry professionals.” The screenings were packed, and the audience was really into it, which made for some great conversations afterward.
