A Big Thank You to the Sky Warriors
New Delhi, November 2, 2025: The spirit of India soared high as Netflix unveiled its upcoming series Operation Safed Sagar during the first-ever Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon (SIM-25). The event was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.
The idea for the show came from Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Kushal Srivastava, while Oni Sen directed it. The series stars Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Mihir Ahuja, Taaruk Raina, and Arnav Bhasin in key roles.
A Powerful Start at SIM-25
The marathon united officers, veterans, dignitaries, and thousands of citizens. This created a strong sense of national pride. Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh unveiled the teaser, joined by Netflix India VP of Content Monika Shergill and Series Head Tanya Bami.
With a charged and emotional atmosphere, Netflix announced what is being hailed as its biggest Indian series of 2026. The series celebrates courage and patriotism.
A Story of the World’s Highest Air Operation
Backed by the Indian Air Force, and produced by Matchbox Shots and Feel Good Films, the series tells the incredible story of IAF pilots. They risked everything during the Kargil War.
Filmed at real Air Force bases, the show features MiG aircraft and IAF personnel. This brings unmatched authenticity and scale to the screen.
