Chadwick Boseman to Receive Posthumous Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Late Hollywood star Chadwick Boseman is set to receive a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, marking a heartfelt tribute five years after his unexpected passing in 2020. The ceremony will take place on November 20th at 6904 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, celebrating Boseman’s lasting impact on cinema and culture.

Boseman, renowned for his iconic roles including Black Panther and Jackie Robinson in 42, died at the age of 43 after a private battle with colon cancer. His widow, Simone Ledward-Boseman, will accept the prestigious honor on his behalf. Ryan Coogler, who directed Boseman in Black Panther, and Viola Davis, who starred with him in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, will both give special speeches at the event.

Known for his powerful performances and dedication to portraying significant Black historical figures, Boseman earned widespread critical acclaim during his career, including Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards. His last movies, which came out after he died, made his legacy in Hollywood even stronger.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce praised Boseman’s extraordinary contributions, stating his performances continue to inspire generations worldwide. His star will be the 2,828th on the Walk of Fame, a permanent reminder of his remarkable artistic legacy.
