Peyton List will play Maddie Nears again in the third season of the supernatural teen drama School Spirits, which will premiere with three episodes on January 28, 2026, only on Paramount+. The announcement was made during a panel at CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil, where List showed the first teaser footage, which made people even more excited for the deeper mysteries at Split River High. The show was renewed in March 2025 after a lot of people watched season 2. It mixes spooky stories with high school drama.
Maddie has to deal with scary visions after coming back to her body while also protecting the living and the dead. Her friend Simon, played by Kristian Ventura, is still stuck in the afterlife, obsessed with finding out Split River High’s deadly secrets and warnings from Mr. Martin (Josh Zuckerman). The season promises a thinner barrier between worlds, new dangers, and truths that will make the characters question everything they know.
Kristian Ventura plays Simon, Milo Manheim plays Spencer MacPherson, and Sarah Yarkin plays Maddie. In Season 3, Jennifer Tilly plays Dr. Hunter-Price, Ari Dalbert plays Kyle, and Erika Swayze plays Livia. Maria Dizzia and Patrick Gilmore are also regulars. List, who is known for Cobra Kai, is an executive producer along with showrunners Nate and Megan Trinrud.
The teaser hints at scary things happening to Maddie and her friends, which gets people excited for the darker part of this YA supernatural hit. Before the show starts, fans can watch previous seasons on Paramount+.
