Euphoria Season 3 Time Jump: Cassie-Nate Suburbs, Rue in Mexico – 2026 Premiere

Euphoria season 3 on HBO takes place five years after season 2. The characters who were once students at East Highland High are now young adults dealing with new problems outside of school. After nine months of filming, production ended in November 2025. The last season will air on HBO Max in the spring of 2026, probably between mid-April and May. Sam Levinson, the show’s creator, says this is the best season yet, with strong character arcs that don’t go back to high school.

Cassie, played by Sydney Sweeney, lives in the suburbs with Nate, played by Jacob Elordi. They are engaged and getting married, but Cassie struggles with social media addiction and jealousy of her friends’ glamorous lives. First-look pictures show a more settled Nate and Cassie saying she’s “never been happier,” which shows how hard it is for her to adjust to life in the suburbs. This twist shocks fans because it goes against what happened in season 2.

In Mexico, Zendaya’s Rue is deeply in debt to drug dealer Laurie (Martha Kelly) and is coming up with creative ways to pay it off while she fights her addiction. Hunter Schafer’s Jules is a painter who goes to art school to avoid responsibility. Alexa Demie’s Maddy works at a Hollywood talent agency and does side jobs, and Maude Apatow’s Lexi helps showrunner Sharon Stone. The main cast is mostly the same, but there are new people like Natasha Lyonne, Eli Roth, and Sharon Stone.

Filming started in early 2025, which was perfect because the cast was getting older and could play adult roles in this eight-episode farewell season. HBO posted first-look photos on Instagram, which got people excited by showing older versions of characters like Rue, Nate, Cassie, Jules, Lexi, and Maddy. Post-production moves forward with the confirmed debut in April 2026.
