William Rush Dead at 31: Waterloo Road Star’s Tragic Passing

Sadly, William Rush, a talented British actor best known for his role in Waterloo Road, has died at the age of 31. Debbie Rush, his mother and a former star of Coronation Street, confirmed the sad news on Instagram, where she shared how deeply the family was grieving.

Rush played Josh Stevenson in the BBC drama Waterloo Road from 2009 to 2013. He was a schoolboy character who drew in viewers. He was also on well-known shows like Grange Hill, Shameless, Casualty, and Vera. In 2014, he made a cameo on Coronation Street. Rush also took part in The X Factor in 2016, but left during the Six Chair Challenge.

Debbie Rush wrote, “Our lovely baby boy, William, died on December 17.” Our family is heartbroken. She said that his last act as an organ donor gave “hope and life to other families, thinking of others right to the very end.” The family asked for privacy during their “unimaginable grief.”

Fans and co-stars mourned Rush’s warmth and talent, and many people wrote about it on social media. The cause of death was not made public, but his kindness lives on through the organs he gave to others.
