Chevy Chase, the famous comedian from Saturday Night Live and the star of the 1986 cult classic Three Amigos, recently said that he would like to have a full reunion with his co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short on their hit Hulu show Only Murders in the Building. At a live event at the Altria Theater in Richmond, Virginia on December 29, 2025, the 82-year-old actor jokingly said that the show, which is now in its sixth season, is “lacking me” without him.
Chase’s Get Together Pitch Chase talked about how close he was to his Three Amigos co-stars, Martin’s Lucky Day and Short’s Ned Nederlander. He called them “fantastic” and said, “I miss them.” He joked about the show, which he often called “I only have murders in my building,” calling it “a very good show” and telling producers to include him for authenticity. His wife, Jayni Chase, spoke up to correct the title, which showed how lighthearted his comments were.
Since Only Murders started in 2021, fans have been talking about a Three Amigos crossover. This is especially true after partial reunions like Tony Plana’s guest role in Season 5. In 2022, John Hoffman, one of the show’s co-creators, said there were “plans for many other amigos,” but he didn’t want to mess with the core trio of Martin, Short, and Selena Gomez. Chase told the WTF with Marc Maron podcast before that he wanted to be on the show, but he laughed off the idea of actively looking for a role. As of early 2026, there have been no official talks about a Season 6 appearance.
