Cyrus said she would do it if the script, character, or opportunity was just right. She called her role in Avatar the “biggest gig of my life.”
Cyrus wrote the song “Dream As One” for the end credits of James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash. The song was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Original Song in 2026. At a 2024 Disney Legends event, she pitched the song directly to Cameron. She worked with Mark Ronson and others and used Pandora’s visuals for inspiration. The song connected with the movie’s themes of resilience and chosen family, which were similar to her own relationships.
