Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban Finalize Divorce After 19 Years

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are officially divorced, which ends their marriage of almost 20 years. A Tennessee judge approved an agreement between the Oscar-winning actress and Grammy-winning country singer on January 6, 2026.

Kidman filed for divorce in September 2025, saying that they had differences that could not be worked out after they had already separated that summer. Tennessee law says that parents of minors must wait 90 days before the process can be completed. The couple met in 2005 and got married in Sydney in June 2006. They have two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

Both sides gave up their rights to child and spousal support, and each paid their own legal fees. Mutual agreement will decide how to split up assets like homes, cars, and bank accounts. Kidman is the main parent who lives with the kids, so the family stays in Nashville.

Even though they broke up, the papers stress that they will continue to support each other and their kids. Sources say that Kidman tried hard to save the marriage, but the couple put a smooth transition first.
