Mumbai: ICONIC Mr. India, sponsored by Dr. Rashel’s Beauty Elixirs, is steadily emerging as a premier platform for India’s budding male talent. The eighth edition of the male pageant will kick off on February 7 in Chennai at Satyam Resorts, with the grand finale on February 9 in Mumbai at Iconica.
Produced by Aditya Khurana and Mohammed Nagaman Lateef, the pageant has evolved beyond just crowns and titles, focusing instead on long-term career growth in fashion, entertainment, and glamour.
Bridging the Gap Between Talent and Opportunity
From the outset, the idea behind ICONIC Mr. India was clear: create a platform where real talent can shine.
“The main reason for starting ICONIC Mr. India was to give talented men across India a stage to showcase their skills. Many gifted individuals never get the opportunity to grow. This platform was made to fill that gap,” said Aditya Khurana.
By addressing this gap, the pageant helps participants gain visibility, mentorship, and exposure, ensuring that talent does not go unnoticed.
A Gateway to International Pageantry
Aditya emphasized that ICONIC Mr. India stands apart in a rapidly changing pageant landscape.
“From the beginning, our vision was to build strong ties with leading international male pageantries. We want Indian talent to access global platforms and represent the country worldwide,” he explained.
Through these connections, contestants are prepared not just for national recognition, but for opportunities on international stages.
Mentorship Beyond the Crown
Unlike many pageants, ICONIC Mr. India prioritizes long-term career development over short-term wins.
“We don’t simply select contestants. We mentor, train, and open doors for careers in acting and the glamour industry. Our aim is to help them build a lasting identity,” said Aditya.
He added that modern pageants evaluate more than just looks.
“Pageants today focus on personality, confidence, discipline, communication, and individuality. These are the qualities that define true success,” he noted.
Overcoming Early Industry Challenges
Breaking into a well-established industry posed its challenges.
“It was hard to enter an arena dominated by well-known names. Building trust and credibility took consistent effort and belief in our vision,” Aditya admitted.
He stressed the need to adapt and innovate in a fast-paced world.
“If we don’t evolve, we risk being left behind. My motivation is to stay ahead with fresh ideas and opportunities,” he added.
A Transparent and Talent-Focused Judging Process
Co-producer Mohammed Nagaman Lateef highlighted how ICONIC Mr. India differs from other pageants.
“We are not just promoting a pageant. Our main goal is to find and nurture genuine talent,” he said.
The jury consists of experts from talent management, makeup, and styling, ensuring participants are evaluated professionally and fairly from multiple perspectives.
Supporting Winners Beyond the Title
Mohammed emphasized that the pageant’s support extends well beyond crowning winners.
“Our past winners have gone on to work in television, music videos, and reality shows. Winning here is just the beginning. We actively guide and support them every step of the way,” he said.
This approach ensures that success is sustainable and long-term, rather than momentary recognition.
Star-Studded Jury for Season 8
ICONIC Mr. India Season 8 will be judged by Diandra Soares, Pawee Ventura, Amit Khanna, Tanusri Dasgupta, Mohammed Nagaman Lateef, Ojas Rajani, and Karanvir Sharma, bringing together expertise in fashion, grooming, and entertainment.
With a strong focus on credibility, mentorship, and global exposure, ICONIC Mr. India continues to solidify its reputation as India’s trusted stage for rising male stars.
