Getting Ready for a Big Role
Mona Singh opened up about her preparation for the series. She explained, “We had very intense workshops. I met female police officers in Punjab and learned how challenging it is to work in a male-dominated field while still standing out. It wasn’t just workshops—I read the script repeatedly to truly make it my own.”
She also shared her experience of the toughest day on set: “It was a night shoot, and I was nervous. I didn’t know what to expect. Our action choreographer, Amrit Pal, asked if I had done action before. I hadn’t, so he suggested starting from scratch. I was ready to learn. On the first shot, holding the gun, Sudip sir whispered, ‘Don’t be scared. Let’s do it again.’ That’s when I jumped in—and I loved it.”
Barun Sobti on Setting Higher Goals
Barun Sobti, reprising his role as Amarpal Garundi, spoke about the expectations for the new season. “Following up a great first season is always hard. But I believe Kohrra Season 2 will surpass the first one,” he said confidently, highlighting the team’s ambition and dedication.
Sudip Sharma on Pressure and the Process
Creator Sudip Sharma reflected on the effort behind the series. “The love and reviews from the first season were amazing, but we don’t dwell on them. The real pressure comes from the hard work itself,” he said. “It took two and a half years—from writing to production. If it doesn’t turn out well, all that effort would feel wasted.”
Sharma emphasized that the team’s focus is always on creating quality content rather than chasing comparisons or reviews.
