F1 Sequel Accelerates: Brad Pitt Eyes High-Octane Return with Apple TV

F1: The Movie sequel talks are moving quickly. Director Joseph Kosinski has confirmed that he is in talks with Apple about the next chapter, which will star Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes. After its June 2025 release, the blockbuster made more than $630 million around the world. Fans are now asking for more high-octane action.

Kosinski said that they are thinking about what will happen to Sonny Hayes and the APXGP team in the future, building on the original’s fight between Pitt’s veteran racer and Damson Idris’ rookie Joshua Pearce. Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, said he was just as excited and talked about meetings with executive producer Lewis Hamilton about continuing the story. He praised Pitt’s great performance. Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer, hinted that a sequel might start at Melbourne, a fan-favorite track that wasn’t in the first movie.

The movie F1: The Movie broke records for both Apple and the best sports movie ever, thanks to its real Formula 1 race footage and star power. The franchise is a good fit for a sequel because people all over the world have had mostly positive reactions.
