Lisa Kudrow made a heartfelt plea to the next owner of Warner Bros. Discovery to keep the famous Burbank studio lot the same as it was when she filmed the beloved sitcom Friends there for ten years. In a recent interview with Architectural Digest, the actress talked about how the lot is perfect for its purpose and how important it is to Los Angeles and the industry. She begged, “Please don’t take Jack Warner’s roses,” which shows how important they are to history.
The Warner Bros. lot, where Stage 24, also known as “The Friends Stage,” was located, was home to the hit show from 1994 to 2004. Stars like Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer were on the show. Kudrow said that it has also been the setting for famous movies like Casablanca, The Matrix, and The Goonies. Fans and people who work in the industry hope that the new owners will keep this Hollywood landmark the way it is.
Netflix announced in December 2025 that it would buy Warner Bros. Discovery for $82 billion. However, Paramount Skydance made a hostile bid of $108.7 billion. Recently, CEO David Zaslav welcomed Netflix executives Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters to the lot. The company plans to split into Warner Bros. and Discovery Global by 2026. The outcome is still up in the air, which makes Kudrow’s plea even more timely.
