Rocking Star Yash has once again redefined the pan-Indian cinema landscape. Even before its theatrical debut, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has created history with a landmark distribution deal.
In a move that has sent ripples across the industry, Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC), led by producer Dil Raju, has acquired the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana distribution rights for a massive ₹120 crore. Signed on an advance commission basis, this now stands as the biggest-ever acquisition for a non-Telugu origin film.
A Landmark Agreement That Signals Strong Trade Confidence
Notably, the historic deal between KVN Productions, Monster Mind Creations, and SVC firmly positions Toxic among the most anticipated Indian films in recent years.
Moreover, the AP–TG rights were fiercely contested by three major players. Ultimately, SVC emerged victorious, securing what trade experts are calling one of the most defining distribution deals in modern Indian cinema.
Yash’s Pan-India Stardom Breaks Language Barriers
At the core of this massive acquisition lies Yash’s unparalleled star power. Since KGF: Chapter 2, his appeal has only expanded across regions and international markets.
Meanwhile, Toxic has generated unprecedented buzz, from organic fan frenzy to strong on-ground excitement. In the Telugu states, Yash enjoys near homegrown status. Consequently, the four-year wait for his next film is now reflected in the movie’s robust pre-release traction and early trade indicators.
Dil Raju Speaks on Backing Toxic
Sharing his thoughts on the acquisition, Dil Raju highlighted the scale of anticipation surrounding the project.
“Yash is a formidable force in Indian cinema. After KGF 2, his market has grown even stronger worldwide. The anticipation for his next has been building steadily. After a four-year wait, expectations are enormous. We at SVC are thrilled to present this prestigious project and hope to collaborate with Yash on many more films,” he said.
SVC’s Backing Strengthens Theatrical Prospects
Furthermore, the association with Sri Venkateswara Creations significantly enhances Toxic’s market positioning. The banner is widely regarded as one of India’s most reliable forces, backed by a legacy of National Award-winning films and multiple blockbusters.
Additionally, SVC’s involvement reflects strong confidence in the film’s content, scale, and long-term theatrical potential, particularly in the cinema-driven AP–TG belt—one of the country’s most influential film markets.
A Larger-Than-Life Big-Screen Experience
For audiences and fans alike, this collaboration raises expectations considerably. With expansive theatrical reach and high-impact promotions, Toxic is being positioned as a true big-screen spectacle, crafted for both mass and premium viewers.
A Global Film Powered by a Stellar Technical Team
Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups was shot simultaneously in Kannada and English. Moreover, dubbed versions are planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages, underlining the film’s global ambition.
On the technical front, the film boasts an impressive lineup. National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi handles the visuals, while Ravi Basrur composes the music. Editing is by Ujwal Kulkarni, with production design by TP Abid.
Meanwhile, the action sequences have been mounted on an international scale. They are choreographed by Hollywood action director JJ Perry (John Wick), alongside National Award winners Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.
Worldwide Release Set for March 19, 2026
Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
Strategically timed with Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa, the release further cements the film’s position as one of the biggest cinematic events of 2026.
