On February 9, 2026, Netflix released the official trailer for Virgin River season 7. It showed that fan-favorite couple Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) would go through a lot of ups and downs. The preview starts with the newlyweds, who just got married in season 6, getting ready to adopt a baby from one of Mel’s patients, Marley (Rachel Drance), who picks them as parents at first. When Marley asks for more time, things get tense. Jack is frustrated as they wait in the beautiful town, where old romances and new threats are still fresh.
Netflix will release all of Virgin River season 7 on March 12, 2026. This is a change from what was expected in early 2025 because of production scheduling. The season follows Mel and Jack as they move to a new ranch, plan their honeymoon using a spinning globe, and deal with side stories like Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth) dealing with drama with Brie (Zibby Allen) and Doc (Tim Matheson) rebuilding trust.
The trailer hints at Virgin River’s signature drama, with new threats hanging over the town, in addition to the adoption setback. Patrick Sean Smith, the show’s creator, said it was “the end of one chapter and the beginning of another,” building on season 6 cliffhangers like Lark’s disappearance with Brady’s money.
