Swerve Beats Omega, Heel Turn Shocks AEW Dynamite Feb 18

On February 18, 2026, AEW Dynamite came from Sacramento’s Memorial Auditorium and featured explosive action, including Swerve Strickland’s brutal victory over Kenny Omega. The event got people excited for AEW Revolution with intense promos and important title defenses.

Swerve Strickland beat Kenny Omega in a brutal main event singles match, winning with the Big Pressure after a series of counters, Swerve Stomps, and House Calls that were all over the place. After the match, Strickland went full heel, chaining Omega’s throat, hanging him from the ropes, and delivering a Vertebreaker through the announce desk. This was a big change before Revolution.

Willow Nightingale kept her AEW TBS Championship in a crazy four-way match against Mina Shirakawa, Megan Bayne, and Marina Shafir. She pinned Shirakawa after a roll-up, which happened during a lot of high-flying moves and betrayals. There were avalanche German suplexes, shotgun dropkicks, and a broken alliance between Bayne and Shafir in the match. This kept Nightingale’s reign strong.

MJF, the AEW World Champion, and “Hangman” Adam Page had a tense face-to-face. Page promised to end MJF at Revolution and suggested a Texas Death Match stipulation. MJF made fun of Page’s past mistakes and took a week to think about it. Page then put his future title shots on the line, which made their personal feud worse after MJF’s win in Australia.

  • Jon Moxley choked Mark Davis out in a Continental Title Eliminator match, showing off his brutal fighting skills.
  • The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy and Tomohiro Ishii) beat Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors, and Ishii’s injury made it more exciting. Darby Allin got involved.
  • The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) made their debut by beating B3CCA and Van with “Two Birds One Stone.”
  • Kevin Knight beat The Beast Mortos with a UFO Splash, giving LFI a chance to win a trios title.

The Young Bucks attacked FTR and asked for a shot at the tag title. Moxley, on the other hand, challenged Takeshita for Revolution. This episode of Dynamite builds up the stories for AEW’s biggest shows.
