Brandi Glanville, a former star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has finally found out what caused her famous facial parasite after almost two years of dealing with it. The reality TV star said that her completely broken breast implants caused the condition, which shifted blame away from earlier ideas like a parasite picked up on a trip to Morocco.
Glanville’s problems started in the middle of 2023 after she filmed The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco, where she thought that bad food gave her a parasite called “Caroline.” She had to see 21 doctors, spend more than $100,000, and stay out of the public eye because of swelling, speech problems, and lumps on her face.
She went through a lot of tests, antibiotics, and even a PICC line for treatment. At first, she blamed Bravo and a lawsuit with Caroline Manzo that was related to it. Recent paparazzi footage outside a Beverly Hills doctor’s office showed her looking great and not having any implants, which confirms that she had them removed surgically after 18 years.
Doctors ruled out infections that look like parasites, such as staph, and found that silicone leaking from broken implants was the cause. This caused the immune system to go into overdrive and sped up the aging process. Glanville told TMZ, “It sucks to age 20 years,” but she kept them because “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
As part of her recovery, she had some cosmetic work done by Dr. Nicholas Nikolov, and she showed off her new look at Sundance in January 2026. Fans think this makes it easier for her to come back to TV.
