Piers Morgan, a brave British broadcaster, has hired Rashida Jones, the former president of MSNBC, to be the CEO of his fast-growing digital media company, Uncensored. This will help the company grow into a global powerhouse. This strategic hire comes at the same time as new funding from big names like Raine Ventures, Antenna Group, and the Reuben Brothers, who are aiming for a value of around $30 million for the business.
Rashida Jones, who ran MSNBC from 2020 to 2025 before it split off, is an expert at changing media companies. Morgan called her “one of the sharpest minds in media” and said he wanted to make Uncensored the “global home for fearless, high-engagement content that cuts through the noise.” Jones agreed, saying he was excited to grow the platform’s unfiltered journalism in a media landscape that is all over the place.
Morgan’s YouTube channel Piers Morgan Uncensored has over 4 million subscribers. The company now has History Uncensored, hosted by former CNN anchor Bianca Nobilo, which airs on Channel 5 in the UK. Plans call for new verticals on sports, crime, royalty, and in-depth interviews. This will put it up against well-known names like Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson.
Raine Ventures, with Joe Ravitch on the board, Antenna Group’s Theo Kyriakou, and family offices like Reuben Brothers are all involved in the most recent round. This comes after a $30 million investment that valued Uncensored at about $130 million. This money will help start a variety of content that is driven by talent, which will increase profits on both digital and TV.
