Just a few days after leaving WME, Lucy Dickins, a big name in the music business, joins CAA as managing director. This quick change in career shows how much things have changed for top artists like Adele and Mumford & Sons.
Lucy Dickins leaves CAA and WME, a music agent makes a career change, CAA’s managing director of music and WME’s head of contemporary music, Adele’s agent changes, music industry news in 2026, and a talent agency shakeup.
Lucy Dickins will start working at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in the middle of April. She will join the managing director committee and keep representing high-profile music clients. She left WME on March 5, where she had been the global head of contemporary music and touring since 2022.
Dickins was excited about CAA’s vision, which focuses on creative partnerships for artists all over the world. Dickins is from the UK. She started working for her father’s company, International Talent Booking (ITB), in 1999. In 2019, she became the UK music head for WME. She was quickly promoted and became the first woman to run a major agency’s music division, which included stars like Adele, Mumford & Sons, Little Simz, and Mabel.
At WME, she came up with plans for global tours that worked for artists like Luke Combs and Chris Stapleton. Darryl Eaton, Emma Banks, and Rick Roskin are still CAA’s co-heads of global touring, and Dickins is based in Los Angeles. After leaving, Kirk Sommer still runs WME’s contemporary music division. This high-profile change shows that competition is getting tougher among music talent agencies as live touring becomes more popular.
