Taylor Swift Fans Win StubHub Refunds for Vancouver Shows

Consumer Protection BC has won a big victory for Taylor Swift fans after looking into StubHub’s ticket sales for the pop star’s last Eras Tour shows in Vancouver. The deal, which was signed on February 23, 2026, came about because people complained that StubHub didn’t make it clear that tickets for the concerts at BC Place on December 6, 7, and 8, 2024, had obstructed or limited views. Fans in sections 219–236, 336, and 418–437 who bought tickets through StubHub may now be able to get full refunds if the tickets didn’t match the description.

To be in line with the B.C. Ticket Sales Act, StubHub must now make its platform more open by clearly listing face values, fees, service charges, terms, and refund guarantees. The company will also give the Consumer Advancement Fund $2,500 and pay more than $6,000 for inspections. StubHub will contact eligible buyers directly by May 1, 2026, to offer refunds or credits. This is a proactive way to deal with fan disappointment, even though the company doesn’t admit to breaking the law. Some Taylor Swift fans are getting their money back for tickets to a show in Vancouver.

B.C. law says that people who buy tickets from a secondary seller should get accurate information and full refunds, not just credits, if the tickets don’t match the listings. Louise Hartland, Consumer Protection BC’s director of public relations, said, “This agreement is about being open and making sure that customers can get their money back when the law says they should.” This news shows that resale sites are still being looked at closely, especially during popular events like Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour.
