Left Seat: Rodriguez & Gere Plane Thriller Heads to Germany Shoot

Michelle Rodriguez and Richard Gere will star in the intense plane survival thriller Left Seat, which is currently in production for a shoot in Germany. Ben Younger directed the movie, which stars Rodriguez as a pharmaceutical saleswoman who has to fly a small charter plane after the pilot passes out in the middle of the flight.

In Left Seat, Rodriguez’s character has to get through deadly storms and land safely before the fuel runs out, with help from Gere’s stranger character over the radio. This thriller looks at how people can stay strong under pressure. Younger directed it from a script by David M. Crabtree, which has been updated recently. Jason Michael Berman, the producer of A/Vantage Pictures, says the script has a lot of emotional depth and the leads are very talented.

The project, which was first announced in 2025, is moving forward now that filming in Germany has been confirmed for March 2026. Gere (Pretty Woman, The Agency) and Rodriguez (Fast & Furious franchise) add star power to this story about surviving an airplane crash.
