Joseph Duggar and his wife Kendra are facing serious new charges in a shocking child molestation case. This has brought a lot of attention to the former “19 Kids and Counting” star.
Joseph Duggar, 31, and Kendra Duggar, 27, are now facing four counts each of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree false imprisonment in Arkansas. Kendra was arrested not long after Joseph was taken into custody on March 18. She paid $1,470 in bail and was released. Tontitown Police confirmed the charges in a press release, saying that the investigation is still going on and involves minors.
Joseph was first arrested because of an incident in Florida in 2020 in which he allegedly molested a girl under the age of 12. He later told detectives that his “intentions were not pure.” During a forensic interview, the 14-year-old victim told about the abuse. Joseph told the father and police what he had done. He is still in jail waiting to be sent back to Florida. He was in court recently.
The Duggars, who have four kids, stopped posting on Instagram in November 2021, a year after the alleged molestation. They didn’t say anything publicly about their newest child. The case is linked to Joseph’s fame from “19 Kids and Counting,” which puts more pressure on the reality TV family.
