Los Angeles, CA – The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) is excited to announce that the highly acclaimed actress Shriya Pilgaonkar will join the jury panel for the Shorts category at the 2024 edition of the festival. This appointment marks a significant milestone for Shriya, who has earned a reputation as one of the most versatile performers in the Indian film industry, with an impressive array of successful series and films to her credit.
Shriya Pilgaonkar’s illustrious career spans mainstream and independent cinema, as well as digital series. She has garnered praise for her performances in popular series like “Mirzapur,” “Guilty Minds,” “Taaza Khabar,” and most recently, “The Broken News 2.” Her ability to bring complex characters to life with depth and authenticity has solidified her status as a formidable talent. In addition to her success in Indian cinema, Shriya has also made a mark in international projects, including the British series “Beecham House” directed by Gurinder Chaddha and the French film “Un plus Une” by veteran filmmaker Claude Lelouch.

Her experience in producing and directing short films and documentaries, which have travelled to international film festivals, further enriches her perspective.
The festival is scheduled to take place from June 27 to June 30, 2024. This year’s intriguing submissions in the Shorts Program include “Hema” featuring Rajshri Deshpande, “Last Days of Summer,” and “Lori,” among others. Additionally, the festival will feature prominent films such as “Maharaja” starring Vijay Sethupathi and Anurag Kashyap, and “Kill,” produced by Guneet Monga and Karan Johar, starring Lakshya.
