The film, which was already generating strong anticipation, has now received positive early reviews from both critics and celebrities. Moreover, amid the growing excitement, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav watched the movie and promptly declared it a must-see for everyone.
Akhilesh Yadav Applauds the Film’s Honouring of Indian Soldiers
Following the screening, Yadav spoke to the media about the film’s powerful message. According to him, the narrative not only pays tribute to the Indian Army but also reminds younger generations—particularly soldiers—of the force’s glorious past.
Furthermore, he emphasised that the Indian Army continues to defend the nation under the toughest circumstances. He praised the film’s detailed depiction of the Battle of Rezang La and acknowledged the extraordinary courage of Captain Ramchander Yadav and the brave soldiers who fought alongside him.
“Everyone should watch it,” he stressed.
A Strong Account of the Battle of Rezang La
120 Bahadur recounts the heroic stand of 120 Indian soldiers from the 13 Kumaon Regiment during the 1962 war. In the film, Farhan Akhtar portrays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, PVC, who led his men with unwavering courage during one of India’s most defining military battles.
Additionally, the movie consistently echoes one powerful sentiment: “Hum Peechhe Nahin Hatenge.”
