“Gudhi Padwa has always been close to my heart,” Amruta says. “After Diwali, it’s the most important festival for me.”
She recalls her childhood in Pune, where her father, Baba, performed Gudhi Padwa rituals with great care. “He’d explain the significance of the Gudhi, saying it symbolizes our dreams, desires, and positive energy. It marks the start of the Marathi New Year.”
A Guiding Principle from Her Father
One lesson from her father has stayed with her: “Gudhi should touch the sky.”
“This has been my life mantra,” Amruta shares. “It means our dreams and hard work should always soar high, like the Gudhi that symbolizes victory and new beginnings.”
New Home, New Beginnings
This year’s celebration feels different for Amruta. “After years of hard work, films, and projects, I finally have my own home. It’s not just a space; it’s where I’ve found peace and stability.”
She adds, “Life has had its ups and downs, but this house has protected me, filled me with energy, and helped me rediscover myself.”
What’s Next for Amruta?
Amruta is busy with several Hindi and Marathi projects. She’s also set to appear in her first item song in the upcoming film ‘Sushila-Sujit’.
