Anandita says, “Festivals like Bhai Dooj are about celebrating love and protection, not just between brothers and sisters, but between anyone who makes you feel safe and loved.”
She has a new way of looking at things since working on a show about sisterhood. She says, “Through Satyaa Sachee, I’ve learnt that the strength of the bond, not the gender, defines sibling love.”

Anandita, who is an only child, says she never had any siblings when she was growing up. But while she was filming Satyaa Sachee, she really started to get how siblings fight, laugh, and still stand by each other.
“Our show is about two sisters who are always there for each other.” She says, “It’s such a beautiful feeling.”

Anandita is going to celebrate Bhai Dooj this year with her co-star Bhagyashree, who plays Sachee.
“She’s like the sister I never had, both on and off screen,” Anandita says with a smile.
She says that Bhai Dooj shouldn’t just be for brothers because sisters also love and protect their brothers without conditions.
