Looks like Anurag Kashyap’s got a brand new role to celebrate on his birthday! The team behind Dacoit just dropped a first look at him as Swamy, and wow, he looks intense! He’s playing a fearless cop who’s also an Ayyappa devotee, and the transformation is seriously grabbing attention.
But that’s not all! Dacoit sounds like it’s going to be a wild ride. Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur are leading the cast in a story about a convict seeking revenge on his ex. What starts as a dangerous plot quickly spirals into a rollercoaster of love, betrayal, and good old-fashioned vengeance. Sounds juicy, right?
This film also marks Shaneil Deo’s debut as a director, so it’s exciting to see what he brings to the table. Adivi Sesh is pulling double duty, co-writing the story and screenplay with Deo. Big shoutout to Supriya Yarlagadda for producing, Suniel Narang for co-producing, and Annapurna Studios for presenting this project!
And get this – they’re filming Dacoit in both Hindi and Telugu! They’re currently shooting in Hyderabad, and next up, they’re heading to Maharashtra.
