Apple has released the iPhone 17e, a cheaper version of the iPhone 17 series that is meant to help sales in light of concerns about competition from AI. The A19 chip is a powerful feature that comes with this phone, which starts at $599 around the world and Rs 64,900 in India.
The iPhone 17e has a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen with a resolution of 2532×1170 and a pixel density of 460 ppi. It runs on the A19 chip, which has a 6-core CPU, a 4-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine for smooth performance and AI tasks.
Fusion main camera with optical image stabilization, a 24MP front camera, MagSafe wireless charging, and 5G support with the new C1X modem. Some configurations have base storage that is twice as large, at 256GB, and options that go up to 512GB. The device runs iOS 19.
The iPhone 17e costs $599 in the US. In India, the 256GB model costs Rs 64,900 and the 512GB model costs Rs 84,900. Starting March 4 at 7:45 PM IST in India, people can place pre-orders. Sales will start on March 11.
This launch makes the iPhone 17e an entry-level powerhouse with Ceramic Shield 2 protection, satellite connectivity, and a long battery life. It will appeal to budget-conscious buyers who want Apple Intelligence features.
