As Friendship Day approaches, we take a moment to cherish one of the most significant relationships in our lives—the friendships we choose. Actor Ashish Dixit, renowned for his role as Kartik in Sun Neo’s show Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, recently shared heartwarming memories of his best friend and now wife, Shweta Kanoje, along with his views on friendship and plans for celebrating this special day.

Reflecting on his unique bond, Ashish shared, “My wife is my best friend. We’ve faced ups and downs together for around five years. Our friendship began when we were working together in May 2017. I remember how we celebrated this day back when Shweta and I were dating. We travelled to Lonavala and tied friendship bands on each other’s wrists. It was a wonderful day.”

Currently immersed in shooting for Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, Ashish revealed his plans for this year’s celebration. “I’ll celebrate with my wife first and then with my best friends. On the set of Sun Neo’s Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, Brinda Dahal and Nishi Singh are my best friends, and I’ll be celebrating with them as well,” he said.

Sharing his perspective on friendship, Ashish added, “Friendship means being together through happiness, sadness, craziness, and fun. A true friend is someone who understands your feelings without you having to say a word. It’s not about talking every day or partying together, but about having meaningful conversations even if it’s just a few times a year. True friends always think well of each other, even if they don’t meet every day. I have a few close friends in my life, and we call each other ‘chaddi baddi’ yaar.”

Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya is a captivating family drama that centres around Vaishnavi (played by Brinda Dahal), an orphan who venerates Chhathi Maiyya (portrayed by Devoleena Bhattacharjee) as her mother. Tune in to Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya on Sun Neo every Monday to Friday at 7:00 pm to follow this touching story.
