Bears Stun Packers in OT Thriller After Love Concussion

On December 20, 2025, at Soldier Field, the Chicago Bears came back from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win 22-16 in overtime against the Green Bay Packers. This win kept the Bears in first place in the NFC North. Caleb Williams threw the game-winning 46-yard touchdown pass to DJ Moore in overtime. This capped off an unlikely comeback after the Bears recovered an onside kick and scored late to tie the game.

Austin Booker, a Bears defensive end, hit Packers quarterback Jordan Love in the head with his helmet in the second quarter. Love did not return, so backup Malik Willis had to step in. The Bears’ offense came to life late in the game, with Williams throwing a 15-yard touchdown pass to Jahdae Walker to tie the game after a field goal and an onside kick recovery. This win improves Chicago’s record and hurts Green Bay’s chances of making the playoffs.

Love’s exit was the second time he didn’t finish a game against the Bears. He stayed down for a short time before going to the locker room. Booker got his second roughing penalty of the game on the play, which showed how intense the rivalry was on defense. The Packers also had to deal with other players being out, like Micah Parsons, who got hurt and had to end his season early.
