Mumbai – You might know him from Dabba Cartel, but today, actor Bhupendra Singh Jadawat is making headlines for a different reason: he’s just been awarded the Rajasthan Pravasi Samman! The ceremony took place at Maxus Dome & Banquets in Bhayandar (West), Maharashtra.
Who Was There?
The Rajasthani Pravasi Foundation put on the event, and it was quite the gathering! Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Rajasthan’s Deputy CM Diya Kumari, and State Minister Madan Dilawar were all there as chief guests. Pretty impressive, right?
More Than Just an Award
So, what’s the Rajasthan Pravasi Samman all about? It’s a way to recognize those amazing Non-Resident Rajasthanis who are killing it in their respective fields. It also celebrates people who are passionate about sharing Rajasthan’s vibrant culture, both here in India and around the world.
Bhupendra’s Heartfelt Reaction
Bhupendra took to social media to express his gratitude, and his words were really touching:
“Far from my native land, I found profound love for my art… I am humbled and grateful.”
He made sure to thank Deputy CM Diya Kumari, Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Rajasthan Tourism, and the Rajasthan Pravasi Foundation for the honor. And, of course, he dedicated the award to his parents and family – so sweet!
A Rising Star
If you’re not familiar with Bhupendra Singh Jadawat, you should be! He’s been in some great stuff, like Class of ’83, Ittu Si Baat, Modern Love Mumbai, and Dabba Cartel. Plus, he was even nominated for a Filmfare OTT Award for Best Supporting Actor. Talk about talent!
A Night to Remember
The evening wasn’t just about awards; it was a real celebration of Rajasthani culture, with traditional performances and tributes to the Rajasthani community living abroad. Lots of ministers, MLAs, and other community leaders showed up to show their support.
Celebrating Rajasthan’s Heritage
The event really put a spotlight on Rajasthan’s rich history, its lively festivals, thriving industries, and the incredible social work being done by its diaspora. Attendees were even encouraged to invest in the state and strengthen those all-important cultural connections. It sounds like it was a truly inspiring night!
