Bruno Mars has stormed back to the top of the charts with his new single “I Just Might,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This is his first song to open at the top and his 10th career chart-topper. The song is also the first single from his upcoming solo album, The Romantic, which adds to his legacy as one of the few solo male artists with more than ten number-one hits.
“I Just Might” debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Mars’ first time at the top of the main singles chart. Mars has now had ten Hot 100 No. 1s, which ties him for the 10th-most leaders in the chart’s history. Bruno Mars is the fourth solo male artist to have 10 or more Hot 100 No. 1s. He joins Drake, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder. This achievement also puts him among the few acts who have had double-digit number-one hits on the Hot 100.
“I Just Might” got about 23.5 million official streams in the U.S. and sold about 13,000 copies in its first week of tracking. It also got more than 30 million radio airplay impressions. The song also debuts at number one on important Billboard charts like Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales, giving Mars even more chart-topping hits right away.
“I Just Might” is the first single from Mars’ upcoming fourth solo studio album, The Romantic, which will come out on February 27. This is his first solo album since 2016, which makes people even more excited for a full-length return to his mix of pop, R&B, and soul.
The new number one song, “The Fate of Ophelia” by Taylor Swift, ends its reign at the top of the Hot 100. Mars takes over the top spot. “I Just Might” gives Mars about 40 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100, making him an even bigger hitmaker of the streaming era.
