Connor Storrie SNL Debut: Heated Rivalry Star Hosts Feb 28

Connor Storrie, who became famous for his role in the hit HBO Max show Heated Rivalry, will host Saturday Night Live for the first time on February 28, 2026. The announcement came during the January 31 episode hosted by Alexander Skarsgård. This was a big deal for the 25-year-old actor because the show was so popular.

Storrie will be the host of the NBC sketch comedy show with musical guest Mumford & Sons, who are promoting their new album, Prizefighter. This is the first time this person has hosted a show. Their show, Heated Rivalry, premiered in November 2025 and has averaged 9 million viewers on HBO Max and Crave. The queer hockey romance drama is based on Rachel Reid’s books and stars Storrie as Russian player Ilya Rozanov and Hudson Williams as Shane Hollander.

Storrie recently carried the Olympic torch with Williams before the 2026 Games and sat in the front row at YSL’s Paris Fashion Week. He was on Late Night with Seth Meyers and Today, and he also spoke at the Golden Globes. The two of them turned heads at pre-parties. In a sketch called “Heated Wizardry” that aired on January 17, SNL made fun of the show by turning it into a Harry Potter quidditch rivalry.

Heated Rivalry is about rival hockey players who have a complicated romance that lasts for ten years in a made-up NHL world. The original Crave has helped Storrie rise quickly, even signing with Creative Artists Agency. His SNL spot fits with Season 51’s focus on new hosts like Finn Wolfhard and Teyana Taylor.
