Mumbai, 6th March 2025 – GroupM Motion Entertainment and the Film Critics Guild have revealed the nominations for the 7th Critics’ Choice Awards, which celebrate outstanding talent in short films, web series, feature films, and documentaries. A new category for documentaries has been introduced this year.
Expanding Recognition
The Critics’ Choice Awards now includes documentaries, recognizing the growing importance of this genre in Indian cinema. The awards spotlight stories from diverse regions of India, reflecting the country’s cultural richness.
Esteemed Jury Panel
The jury consists of 59 renowned critics from the Film Critics Guild, including Anupama Chopra (Chairperson) and Sucharita Tyagi (Vice-Chairperson), who will ensure the most groundbreaking works are celebrated.
Notable Nominees Share Their Excitement
- Abhishek Bachchan (Best Actor, I Want To Talk) expressed his honor at being recognized by such a respected panel.
- Konkona Sen Sharma (Best Actress, Killer Soup) called her nomination extra special.
- Kani Kusruti (nominated in three categories) described the recognition as a once-in-a-lifetime honor.
