Dave Rocco Named Atlantic Music Group Chief Creative Officer

Atlantic Music Group has promoted Dave Rocco to the new position of Chief Creative Officer. In this role, he is in charge of the label’s global creative strategy. Rocco has been the President of Creative since 2024. He is still in charge of making videos, artwork, and ads for artists. He answers directly to Chairman and CEO Elliot Grainge, who praised Rocco for his work in bringing new life to the company.

Rocco has led the creative team in working with big names like Cardi B, FKA twigs, Don Toliver, Bailey Zimmerman, and ROSÉ on campaigns. This promotion builds on the work he did for the label over the past year, giving its roster more visual and strategic support.

Rocco has a lot of experience from Universal Music Group, where he was Executive Vice President of Creative, and from Spotify, where he started Artist Marketing and became Global Head of Label & Artist Relations. He got better at telling stories while working at Republic Records and ad agencies like Deutsch LA, where he won awards like the Cannes Lions. He stresses that artists should be their own creative directors and that the team should support their ideas.

The move fits with the way Atlantic Music Group is changing under Grainge, especially since there will be leadership changes in 2024, like promotions at 300 Entertainment. It puts the label in a good place to develop bold artists even as the industry changes.
