Shah Rukh Khan Slept Amid Coal Machinery on Koyla Set, Says Dipshikkha Nagpal.

Actress Dipshikkha Nagpal reflects on Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan’s grounded nature during the 90s.

No Glamour, Just Grit

Actor Dipshikkha Nagpal recently shared nostalgic memories from the set of Koyla (1997), praising Shah Rukh Khan’s humility in his early days. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, she recalled how SRK would sleep among coal mine machinery and lighting equipment during the shoot.

“There were no vanity vans. Shah Rukh would rest right there, among the heavy setup. It was all about finishing the scene,” she said.

Then vs Now: A Stark Contrast

Dipshikkha reflected on how the acting profession has changed over time, emphasizing the evolution witnessed by Dipshikkha Nagpal herself.

“Back then, acting wasn’t seen as prestigious. Now everyone wants to be an actor—with a team, staff, and van in tow,” she noted.

She emphasized how today’s actors often rely on comfort and luxury, which wasn’t the case in the 90s.

Salman Khan’s Simplicity

She also praised Salman Khan’s humble nature during his early career.

“Salman would walk to the makeup room alone—no guards, no entourage. We all ate together. Things were much simpler,” she shared.

Both SRK and Salman, she said, have earned their current stardom after decades of hard work, much like Dipshikkha Nagpal.

A Versatile Career

Dipshikkha Nagpal has worked in several hit films, including Koyla, Baadshah, Dillagi, and Partner. On TV, she appeared in shows like Shaktimaan, Son Pari, Kittie Party, and Ramayan.

She was also a contestant on Bigg Boss 8 and was last seen in the film One Day: Justice Delivered (2019). Recently, she has featured in shows like Megha Barsange and Ishq Jabariya.
