Relationships today are constantly changing, but the timeless desire for sweetness, or ‘meethas,’ remains the same. COLORS captures this essence in its latest show, “Mishri,” starring Shruti Bhist as Mishri and Namish Taneja as Raghav. The show follows the journey of Mishri, a girl who brings happiness to others while dealing with her own challenges.

Living in Mathura, Mishri is beloved by everyone and is a symbol of good luck at all significant events. However, her life takes a dark turn when her aunt plots to marry her off to her deceitful, middle-aged brother, replacing the groom Mishri was meant to marry. In a surprising twist, Raghav steps in and marries Mishri, thwarting her aunt’s plan.

Mishri’s story doesn’t end there. Despite being bound to Raghav, who loves another woman named Vaani, Mishri is determined not to be a burden. She supports Raghav and Vaani, treating Vaani like a sister. The show explores how Mishri manages this complex situation without hurting the two people she cares about the most.

Shruti Bhist shares her excitement about playing Mishri, saying, “Mishri is special to me as it’s my first project with COLORS. She spreads joy, despite her own life’s struggles. Her journey to turn her misfortunes into triumphs, despite losing her parents and being mistreated by her aunt, is inspiring. I hope viewers find hope in her story.”

Namish Taneja, who plays Raghav, is equally enthusiastic. “Returning to COLORS with ‘Mishri’ is exciting. Raghav is a kind man who loves helping others, a trait I connect with. I look forward to sharing Raghav’s inspiring story with the audience,” he says.
